Trial of a system for automatic guidance in vineyards: the RTK project2019-01-28T16:46:11+00:00

Project Description

Leaf participated in a project for the improvement of the environmental and safety performance of operators of production processes with the creation of an RTK network at district level for the use of precision farming tools.

The project foresaw the installation of automatic guidance systems on agricultural vehicles to allow treatments and fertilising with assisted guidance, detecting the areas travelled, reporting any obstacles and storing work data. The system is equipped with a 5” colour touch-screen that can store work data (divided by plot) and view the coverage of the field.

The RTK project aims at helping the winery in controlling and managing the agronomic activities in view of the agro-environmental and territorial constraints and preventing risks related to agricultural operations performed by mechanical means. We expect that the district RTK network and the precision farming technologies will increase the level of risk control and will render emergency communication more efficient.
